My 33 yr old son was a High School History Teacher. We just lost him to suicide on March 22, 2024. I will make this quilt in his memory in time for his birthday next year on May 20th when I will have all our friends and relatives celebrate his life and sign the quilt. It will not bring Sean back to life but it will keep his memory alive. He was proud to be an American and loved teaching!
My younger son is a 9th grade American history Teacher and he will just love this quilt. I love to make him anything that is Americana! Thanks for the pattern.

That’s great! We hope he loves it!!
I LOVE this pattern, but I need to make the finished product only 12.5 × 12.5 inch square. Is there an
easy way to reduce it just a little in order to fit those measurements? I am a new quilter, and am not
sure how to accomplish this. Thanks.

Fort Worth Fabric Studio replied:
Hi Vera! I believe you would have to reduce the square by 1 1/2" which is 3/8" less on both sides of each square and a 1/4" off the length of the rectangle and 3/8" less on the width. I hope that helps!
Thanks
Beautiful Quilt!
